Wasatch Computer Technology Supports HP® Designjet® 9000s Series Printer
Salt Lake City, UT,
March 21, 2006
— Wasatch Computer Technology has announced new support for the new Designjet 9000s low-solvent printer from Hewlett-Packard. The driver is now included with Wasatch SoftRIP® and as an optional add–on for the competitively priced Wasatch SoftRIP HP Only Edition.
Wasatch has developed 9000s software support in close coordination with HP engineering. As with all SoftRIP drivers, careful attention has been given to thorough quality assurance testing for a robust, reliable driver. "In these days of remote software development, you need a software provider you can trust," says Jay Griffin, Wasatch Vice President. "Wasatch never cuts corners on quality. Period. You should be confident in the quality you receive from Wasatch, and with our low priced HP Only Edition you can feel excited about the price as well."
SoftRIP's innovative Precision Stochastic Screen™ (PSS) halftone method is already being used by beta sites around the world to achieve better color with the Designjet 9000s than other RIPs. "We have been very pleased with the competitive reports from the field," adds Jay Griffin. "We have repeatedly heard from objective testers that SoftRIP's output quality with the 9000s is unsurpassed. HP and Wasatch will be a new team to beat in the solvent market."
