Wasatch Releases SoftRIP Version 5.1.4
Salt Lake City, UT,
June 17, 2005
— Wasatch Computer Technology, LLC has announced the release of version 5.1.4 of its SoftRIP family of products. This release introduces new printer driver support and imaging configurations, as well as incremental feature improvements.
One key improvement has been made to Wasatch's popular nesting features allowing users to save a manually or automatically created layout for future use. After finalizing a layout to print, version 5.1.4 will allow the user to save and name the layout, and to select the number of copies of the full layout to print. Saved layouts will be stored in the print queue for future uses, allowing users to queue up several layouts in a row without waiting for the first layout to finish printing.
Version 5.1.4 also includes enhancements to the Variable Data Printing Option, streamlining the production of print runs greater than 1000. This is particularly useful for users producing full-color, print and cut labels with the Wasatch VDP tool. Finally, users will find support for newer versions of PDF in this release.
