Wasatch SoftRIP® Beats the Competition at DIMA Printer Shoot-Out
Salt Lake City, UT,
March 9, 2005
— For the third straight year, Wasatch has helped its printer partners to achieve victory at the 2005 DIMA Digital Printer Shootout at last month's PMA Trade Show in Orlando, Florida. Using Wasatch SoftRIP 5.1 to drive its JV3 printers Mimaki USA took top honors in both the Solvent 20” or Larger and Inkjet 18” to 35” categories.
The winning images were created with Wasatch SoftRIP Version 5.1, using SS-2 solvent inks from Mimaki and Magic GF Photorealistic media from Intelicoat. Mimaki used the JV3-75SPII printer driven by the economical Small Format Edition of SoftRIP to win the 18” to 35” category. For the >20” division, Mimaki took top honors with the JV3-160 SP. SoftRIP's industry leading color management and workflow features give users the power to achieve superior results with the JV3 line of printers.
“There are a lot of solvent printers on the market, but only a select few that can deliver the quality provided by the Mimaki JV3 paired with Wasatch SoftRIP,” says Jay Griffin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Wasatch Computer Technology. “We are pleased that Wasatch SoftRIP could help Mimaki win in these competitive printing categories.”
