Convert Postscript Screens to Wasatch Precision Rosette Screens

Do you need perfect center-filled rosettes for you separations? If you subscribe to the Screen Printing edition of SoftRIP, you can follow the steps below to change any PostScript Screens Imaging Configuration to a configuration that uses our Wasatch Precision Rosette Screens.

First, click the two blue gears in the upper right of the SoftRIP window to enter the Setup screen.

On the Setup screen, click the Edit button.

Click the Color Transforms button.

Locate the small drop-down list in the lower right of the Color Transforms screen.

Click the drop-down menu and switch from Postscript Screens to Wasatch Precision Stochastic Screens.

Click the Halftone Properties button below the drop-down list and you should see a message similar to the one here.

Click OK.

Notice no screen is set so one will need to be created.

Click the Generate button.

Now set the properties of the screen to create such as the LPI, angles, and halftone dot shape.

Click Calculate.

Once the new screen has been created, you should see a message similar to this.

Click OK.

You are almost done. Click OK on all the screens to keep the settings you've made.

When asked to save, simply modify the name to reflect the changes such as adding WPRS to the end.

Click OK until you are back to the main SoftRIP window.

You are now ready to use the higher quality halftone screen.
