ENCAD NovaJet Series - NovaJet II, III, IV, and PRO

We recommend setting the front panel PRINT MODE as follows:

MODE = ENCH 4 PASS

DIRECTION = BI

FIRING RATE = 5000 (default, adjust this as needed to correct for "overspray")

# OF PASSES = 4

Also set:

EMULATION = HPGL2

NovaJet II - Important Note
This is the original NovaJet and there are quite a few older units out there that may not properly support the updated codes used by newer versions of Wasatch SoftRIP. If you have one of these units, you may observe that pages don't finish properly without you doing things to the front panel of the plotter. This seriously interferes with workflow and is quite unacceptable.

Rather than force you to upgrade your printer, we provide a special patch to fix this. If you are having this problem, use a text editor to edit the file '/wwrip/printerX' in the directory where Wasatch SoftRIP is installed. ('X' should be the printer unit number.) While being careful not to change or remove any of the lines that are already there, add the following line:

NOVA2 '1'

This will cause Wasatch SoftRIP to revert to an older notation, and correct the problem.
